Ana Takes Manhattan
Ana is one of the most chaotic characters I’ve seen in a while, and I love it.
At the beginning of the story, Ana comes to the realization that she’s very unhappy with her life. She is a reality TV show producer for a show that does surprise wedding proposals.. She’s good at what she does, but her career has become very stagnant. She hasn’t been able to produce any of the show ideas she’s pitched. She’s in her mid-30s and single. Her dad remarried after her mother’s death. They’ve grown apart because she doesn’t care for her stepmother, and with the addition of her stepsister, they’re basically their own family unit.
Her best friend is getting married, which only brings awareness to just how single she is. One day she stumbles across a list she wrote in college, which includes all the qualities she wants her dream guy to have. (By the way, she has a list for pretty much everything. Creating lists is basically her whole personality.) This pushes her to come up with the brilliant idea of dating a different guy for each of the qualities on the list.
What could possibly go wrong, right?
This is where all the chaos ensues. This one had its funny, weird moments. I did enjoy reading this one, especially when it got into the deeper stuff that she was going through and never confronted because she was just kind of going through the motions of life.
This one is expected to be published on February 28th, 2023, so add it to your TBR!
