The Vibrant Years

This is book review is going to double as a life update because I’m so excited that I got to read The Vibrant Years as part of my first PAID brand deal with Amazon Publishing! After being rejected by them more than once, they finally allowed me to create a TikTok video for this release!

Now that that’s out of the way, here is my unpaid blog post that I wrote because I loved this book so much that I wanted to share it.

I personally am a big fan of stories with multigenerational family drama centered around women, and this book delivered. It follows Bindu (the hot grandmother), Aly (the career-driven mom), and Cullie (the tech-savvy granddaughter). They are all on different journeys.

Aly is recently divorced. Bindu decided to continue living with her. One day, after they get into an argument, Bindu decides to purchase a luxury condo in a bougie senior living community since she recently inherited a lot of money. Meanwhile, Aly is trying to become a news anchor for the television station she works for. Cullie is stressing about creating a new app. She created one that helps people manage their anxiety, and she spontaneously decides she wants to create a dating app, even though she never dates and doesn’t know the first thing about dating apps.

A tragic event brings Cullie back home, and all three women decide to create a Twinge account to do “research” on what makes a good dating app. This is where the comedy ensues as they all experience some really bad dates.

As the story goes on, we learn more about Bindu’s secret past and how she inherited all that money.

I really love books where women can just interact with each other, be themselves, and grow in their relationships with each other. We saw a lot of growth from all of the characters as they all aspire to be themselves and live their most vibrant lives. The book also had touches of Indian culture, family dynamics, and food weaved into the story. If you’re looking for a fun, sentimental read, check this one out.
