My Top 2023 Reads
Full transparency: 2023 was a really odd reading year for me. In no particular order, here are my top reads of 2023 that I feel comfortable admitting that I read haha.
Lunar Love
Olivia has just taken over her family business, Lunar Love, a matchmaking company that pairs people up based on their Chinese Zodiac sign. After their meet-cute, Olivia runs into Bennett at a conference and realizes he is the head of a new app, ZodiaCupid, that matches people based on their Chinese Zodiac sign and common interests and could potentially put Lunar Love out of business.
Ana Takes Manhattan
Ana is one of the most chaotic characters I’ve seen in a while, and I love it. One day she stumbles across a list she wrote in college, which includes all the qualities she wants her dream guy to have. This pushes her to come up with the brilliant idea of dating a different guy for each of the qualities on the list. What could possibly go wrong, right?
The Vibrant Years
I personally am a big fan of stories with multigenerational family drama centered around women, and this book delivered. It follows Bindu (the hot grandmother), Aly (the career-driven mom), and Cullie (the tech-savvy granddaughter), who are all on different journeys but reconnect and learn how live their most vibrant lives.
Somewhere Sisters
If you’re looking to learn more about transracial adoptions, especially between Asia and the United States, definitely check out this book.
